Apply to be a Part of SPFT’s RP Cohort

During the 2017-2018 school year, the Saint Paul Federation of Teachers will support 15 educator/community members in a year long cohort in restorative practices professional development.

Meeting once monthly for full days of learning at the East Side Freedom Library (Saturday convenings) and two days in June, educators will emerge with rich skills, heart and capacity to lead restorative practice learning for and with the Saint Paul Federation of Teachers in the community, classrooms and school-wide work.

The cost of the 10 day restorative practice training series is $250. Significant funding support from the National Education Association and the Great Public Schools grant makes this possible.

Only applicants who can commit to all 10 days of training (Saturday, October 28th, Saturday, December 2nd, Saturday, January 6th, Saturday, February 3rd, Saturday, March 3rd, Saturday, April 14th, Saturday, May 19th, Tuesday, June 26th & Wednesday, June 27th) will be considered. A 10th date will be determined via the community.

As a member of the cohort, all participants will be asked to hold circles throughout the year as means to engage, practice and apply their learning. Each cohort member will also offer 4 hours of professional development between Summer 2018-June 2019 gratis to members of the Saint Paul Public Schools community.
