Since the murders at Marjory Douglas Stoneman High School in Parkland, Florida, student leaders across the country have stepped up to demand action elected leaders. Here in Minnesota, the student-led March For Our Lives, calling for stricter gun control legislation, will take place on March 24, 2018 from 8:30-noon. More details can be found on their website.
SPFT has been asked by the students coordinating this event to show our support by lining the approach to the Capitol and welcoming students as they arrive from their march through downtown Saint Paul. Students are expected to arrive around 10:00 am.
We need at least 60 people to come out, wear red, and support our students. If each building recruits a couple people to attend, we will have more than enough folks. Register here and let us know if you will be attending. An email with additional information will be sent to all volunteers.
